Growing fruits and vegetables in Florida isn’t as easy as you might think.
It’s true that we provide a lot of citrus, tomatoes, early season blueberries and other edibles to the world. But, that doesn’t mean it is easy.
In fact, gardening in the Sunshine State can be quite difficult.
Our seasons are reversed from what you normally associate with normal food production. Plus we have one huge obstacle to overcome:
sand!
The soil in Florida is nearly non-existant. For much of the state south of I-10, there is a thin layer of topsoil covering sand.
While that might be great for the beach, it is horrible for your plants.
At The Sand Garden, I will show you how to overcome these problems and grow the best fruits and vegetables you have ever dreamed.
Gardening here is possible…if you know the secrets on how to do it right!
